The taiga is the largest land biome. It can be found in Canada, Alaska, Finland, Sweden, and parts of Russia.



Key Points:

The taiga has cold winters and short wet summers.

The taiga has the second coldest temperatures, and only the tundra is colder.

Most of the trees found in the taiga are coniferous and include fir, spruce, and pine trees.

Because of the harsh winters, the taiga does not have a large amount of biodiversity.
