How to create a Histogram

Sunday, November 6, 2016

In this video you will learn step by step directions on how to set up a histogram.

A histogram displays continuous numerical data in intervals.

In a histogram:

1) There must be intervals.

2) Bars must touch one another.

3) Both axes must be labeled.

4) The graph must be titled

Intervals must be:

* Equal

* Non-overlapping

*Able to contain all of the data points

Step 1. Determine the range of the data and the range of your interval.

Step 2. Draw the frequency table

Step 3. Tally the data

Step 4. Label the x axis

Step 5. Label the Y axis

Step 6. Title the Histogram

Step 7. Plot and draw your intervals.
