Comparing fractions. Which fraction is larger 5/6 or 7/8.

In this video I provide three shortcuts to help you compare fractions easily.



Shortcut # 1. If the fractions have the same denominator,then the fraction with the largest numerator is the larger fraction.

Shortcut # 2 If the denominators are different, subtract the numerator from denominator, and if this number is the same, then the fraction with the largest numerator is the largest.

Shortcut # 3 Cross multiply, and the largest number is the larger fraction.
