Diameter The Distance across the circle
Secant A line that intersects a circle at two points.
An Arc is the distance around a fraction of the circumference.
Minor arc an arc with a measure less than 180 degrees
Major arc an arc with a distance greater than 18- degrees
Semi-circle an arc with a measure of exactly 180 degrees
Central Angle The angle with a vertex in the center of the circle and the endpoints lie on the circle.
The central angle equals the arc measure
Inscribed angle is an angle in which the vertex lies on the circle, and the end point is on the circle
An Inscribed angle equals one half the intersected arc.
Center The point of a circle in which all points of the circle are an equal distance away.
Radius The distance from the center of the circle to any point on the circle
Tangent A line that intersects the circle at one point.
Area is the amount of space inside the circle.
Circumference The Distance around the circle.
