The Harmonic Mean is a type of average.
- It is the reciprocal of the arithmetic mean of the reciprocals.
Follow these steps to find the harmonic mean of a set of numbers.
- We will call the set of numbers n
- Add the reciprocals of the numbers in the set of numbers
- Divide n (amount of numbers in the set) by the total of adding the reciprocals
For example
½ + ¼ = ¾
2÷ 3/4 = 2/1 * 4/3 = 8/3 = 2.6667
