Probability of Dependent Events

Wednesday, December 9, 2015

In this video you will learn how to solve dependent probability events.

With dependent events the result of one event impacts other events. In other words the dependent events depend on the actions of the previous event.

This video focuses on dependent events with "and" in the problem.
An example dependent event would be, "What are the chances of picking a red marble and then a blue marble?"

Dependent events can be solved using the formula:
P(A and B) = P(A) xP(B,givenA)
