Converting units of volume

Friday, December 18, 2015

In this video you will learn how to convert between different units of volume.

For example, how 16 gallons equal how many quarts.

I like to convert units of measure by setting up fractions, and then multiplying the fractions and then simplifying. The key to this method is placing a one by the largest unit of measurement when setting up the fractions.

This video solves the following three unit conversions.

5 gallons = ____________ quarts

16 pints =  ______________ gallons

1 cup = ________________ ounces
