Finding the surface area of a cone.

The formula becomes, lateral area =

**πr*s +**base area =

**πr2**

Combine these for the surface area formula =

**πr*s + πr**^{2}
r = radius

s = slant height

In this video I work a sample problem and explain how to find the lateral area of a cone and then the base area of a cone, add these two together and you have the surface area.
