Quick Checklist for Rounding Numbers
Step 1: Find the place value you are rounding to.
Step 2: Look at the digit to the right.
Step 3: Ask: Is it 5 or more?
0–4 → Keep the rounding digit the same.
5–9 → Add 1 to the rounding digit.
Step 4: Change all digits to the right to zeros
(or drop them for decimals).
