What is the largest internal organ in our body? Our liver is our largest internal organ. The liver sits on top of our stomach and can weigh up to three and a half pounds. Compare this to our heart which weighs less than a pound and our brain which weighs roughly two pounds. Our liver helps with digestion, cholesterol production, is a storage center, and hundreds of other vital functions.
